Hercules and Anteus Bronze Finish Statue Greek Myth
11 in tall, 5.5 in long, 4 in deepBeautiful Bronzed FinishCold Cast ResinOn Hercules` way back from the Hesperides, the giant Antaeus challenged the hero to a wrestling match. No matter how many times Hercules threw Antaeus off and tossed him to the ground, it did no good. If anything, the giant appeared rejuvenated from the encounter. Hercules eventually realized that Gaia, the earth, Antaeus` mother, was the source of his strength, so Hercules held the giant aloft until all his power had drained away. After he killed Antaeus, Hercules proceeded safely back to his taskmaster, King Eurystheus. This beautiful statue depicts the wrestling match between Hercules and Anteus. Made of cold cast resin, the statue has a wonderful bronzed finish that gives it the look of metal, and has incredible detail, down to the fig leaf coverings. It measures 11 Inches tall, 5 1/2 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. It is a perfect addition to any Greek art collection.
