STORE DONATIONS
Your neighborhood Ralphs cares about your community
Ralphs has a long-standing commitment to making a difference in each of the communities we serve. Our stores welcome donation requests from local schools, youth sports leagues and other nonprofit, community organizations. Our Store Directors also have the flexibility to give back through food donations and gift certificates up to a $20 maximum per organization.
In 2008, Ralphs supermarkets across Southern California responded by donating more than $500,000 to organizations that work in these focus areas:
· Hunger Reduction: reducing hunger and improving nutrition through programs and organizations, such as food banks and meals on wheels.
· K-12 Education: school programs such as music, computers, fundraisers.
· Women’s and Children’s Health: breast cancer support, children’s hospitals.
· Environment: local area clean-up projects run by nonprofit organizations.
· Neighbor to Neighbor: Little Leagues, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, etc.
Is your organization eligible?
To be eligible, your organization must be:
· A 501 ©(3) tax exempt nonprofit
· Located in Southern California
· Working in one of our focus areas
We do not make donations toward the following:
· Individuals
· Capital campaigns
· Travel expenses
· Projects of sectarian or religious organizations whose principal benefit is for their own members or adherents
· Organizations that discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, sexual orientation or national origin
· Third party giving (when an organization requests funds from Ralphs and then donates those funds to another organization)
How to Apply:
If your organization meets the eligibility requirements above, please ask for an application at the Customer Service Desk of your local Ralphs supermarket, or submit your request on your organization’s letterhead to your local Ralphs supermarket at least eight (8) weeks prior to your event date. Due to the volume of requests, not every request that meets the guidelines will receive funding.
