How does the new fuel program work?
Ralphs rewards points can now be used for a fuel discount at participating Shell locations. You can redeem 100 rewards points and earn a discount of 10 cents per gallon. Fuel discounts are limited up to 35 gallons of fuel per purchase.
How do I earn rewards points?
Just do your regular shopping using your Ralphs rewards Card. You’ll earn one point for every dollar you spend, with certain exceptions including fuel, prescriptions, gift cards, postage stamps, lottery tickets, Western Union, money orders, transit passes, fees, phone activations, sales tax, alcohol, tobacco, CRV, fluid milk plus any products prohibited by law.
Do Gift Card purchases count toward rewards points?
Yes. With the exception of Ralphs Gift Cards, Green Dot Gards, MoneyPaks and 1-2-3 REWARDS® Visa
prepaid Debit Card and Re Charge Card.™ All remaining Gift Card Purchases count toward your points. Normal exclusions apply.
Does filling prescriptions count toward rewards points?
Yes. With the exception of government funded prescriptions. See pharmacy for details.
Is there a limit to how many rewards points I can earn?
No, there is no limit.
What happens if I have more than 100 rewards points?
Any rewards points in excess of the 100 that can be used at a single fill-up will remain on your card to be used at a later time in that rewards cycle.
How does the process at the Shell pump work?
1. If paying inside, see cashier BEFORE inserting your Ralphs rewards Card.
2. BEFORE you insert your payment card, follow the screen prompts to initiate the Ralphs discount process.
3. Insert your Ralphs rewards Card, or manually enter your alternate ID or your loyalty card number found on the back of your loyalty card or key fob.
4. Select your form of payment and fuel grade.
I scan my loyalty card at Ralphs stores, why can’t I scan it at Shell?
Shell station fuel dispensers don’t have scanning technology. To get the discount, either insert your large Ralphs rewards card or enter your loyalty card number found on the back of your rewards card or key fob. You can also enter your alternate ID. Remember, your alternate ID and / or phone number must be registered with Ralphs in order for them to work properly. Click here to update your rewards Card information.
How do I keep track of my points?
Your current rewards points balance is located at the bottom of your Ralphs receipt. You can also check your rewards points balance online by registering your Ralphs rewards Card number at here. How many points can I redeem at once? There is a limit of 100 Points that can be redeemed in a single fuel fill-up. When you redeem 100 points you will receive 10¢ off per gallon on your fuel purchase at Ralphs and participating Shell stations. Fuel discounts are limited to 35 gallons.

Can I choose not to use my discount at the fuel pump?
Yes. Do not insert your Ralphs rewards Card when purchasing fuel if you do not want to use your rewards for a fuel discount.
How long are the rewards points good for?
rewards points earned in a given month are available for use through the end of the rewards cycle. rewards cycles follow the calendar quarters.
For example:
• 1st Quarter: January – March
• 2nd Quarter: April – June
• 3rd Quarter: July – September
• 4th Quarter: October – December
If I use some of my rewards points for fuel, what happens to the remainder of my rewards points at the end of a rewards cycle?
Customers who have earned more than 500 rewards points during a rewards cycle will receive a rewards certificate for each increment of 100 rewards points that remain. Any rewards points balance less than 100 will rollover to the next rewards cycle. At the end of each calendar year, all rewards points are reset and all customers will begin the year with a zero balance.

Do I need to register for this new program?
No. Customers may simply use their existing Ralphs rewards Card to receive these fuel discounts. If you have a Ralphs rewards Card, you have everything you need to start shopping and earning rewards points. If you want to sign up for a Ralphs rewards Card, simply visit any check stand.
